Student Employment
Each semester more than 800 Iowa State students work for ISU Dining. Our employment is not only very convenient, but it is also financially beneficial. For most students it is one of the best ways to make new friends, gain valuable work experience, and conveniently balance work with school. Previous experience is not necessary.

Payment
ISU Dining employees are paid twice each month. The amount you receive will vary with the number of hours you work and the employment plan option you select. Pay rates range from $8.50 - $9.00 per hour.
If you live off campus, you are also encouraged to apply. You will receive the same rate of pay and be paid twice monthly. If you work a minimum of a three-hour shift, you'll receive a free meal (some exclusions apply).

- Line Service- Checker, Server, Supply, and Deli
- Retail Service- Customer service, cashiering, short-order cooking
- Production- Cook, baker, and salad preparation
- Dining Room- Beverage or salad bar attendant
- Cleaning- Mopping and Vacuuming
- Banquet Host- Setup and Wait Staff
- Catering- Setup, Server, and Attendant
- Bar and Beverage- Bartenders
- Dishroom- Washing dishes, pots, and pans
- Vending- Supplying vending machines
- Miscellaneous- Office Personnel, Computer Data Entry, Store Room and Laundry
